What the table means for your site

Where the MacRay LU4 fits

Tanks, drains, bins and sumps under 4.5 m deep, especially outdoors in Indian conditions, where a −40 to +80 °C operating range, an IP67 sensor head and a light 110 g body matter. Its 8 Ah cell gives a shorter stated life than the two larger-cell units at fast reporting, so choose it for hourly reporting or plan a battery change. Indian manufacture, WPC compliance and Pune support come with it.

Where the Milesight EM500-UDL fits

Deeper measurements, to 10 m, with a stated accuracy figure and a large replaceable cell. Its operating temperature stops at +65 °C on the W models and +60 °C on the C models, which matters on a sun-exposed tank roof.

Where the Dragino LDDS75 fits

The longest flat-object range of the three at 7.5 m and a low cost, configured by AT commands. Accuracy and operating temperature are not stated on the page checked.

Choosing between them

The Milesight EM500-UDL W100 reaches 10 m and the Dragino LDDS75 7.5 m. The MacRay LU4 covers 3 cm to 450 cm, which is the range of most overhead tanks, sumps, drains and bins.

It carries an 8 Ah cell and Macnman publishes life per reporting interval: about 1 year at 5 minutes, 2 years at 15 minutes and 3+ years at hourly. The other two carry larger cells and state up to 10 years without an interval on the pages checked. Compare at the interval you will use.

The MacRay LU4 is rated to +80 °C. The EM500-UDL is rated to +65 °C or +60 °C depending on the model; the LDDS75 rating is not on the page checked.
