Wi-Fi Converters & Dataloggers

RS485 Modbus and analog signals to your MQTT broker over existing Wi-Fi

A Wi-Fi converter sits next to an instrument that already exists — an energy meter with a Modbus port, a pressure transmitter with a 4–20 mA loop — reads it, and publishes the values to your MQTT broker or HTTPS endpoint over the Wi-Fi already in the building. There is no gateway and no network server; the data goes straight to your platform.

The MacSync WX1 does this in two modes, Modbus RTU or analog, on a 19 Ah battery or 9–36 V DC, with 30,000 records stored on the device through an outage. The MacSync W X2 is the mains-powered datalogger of the same family, and the Setu WX1 brings BLE sensors onto Wi-Fi.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

A device that polls Modbus RTU registers over RS485 from a meter, PLC or drive and publishes the values over Wi-Fi to an MQTT broker or HTTPS endpoint. The MacSync WX1 does this on a battery or a DC supply, with TLS and 30,000 records of store-and-forward.

To the broker or endpoint you set in the Maya app: host, port and topic for MQTT, or a URL for HTTP and HTTPS. From there it reaches AWS IoT Core, Azure IoT Hub, an on-premise server, SCADA or a BMS. There is no vendor cloud in between.

The battery variant runs on a 19 Ah cell and suits meters with no supply nearby; the Wi-Fi battery life calculator estimates how long it lasts at your polling interval. The DC variant runs from 9–36 V DC for frequent polling.

Readings are stored on the device, up to 30,000 records, and uploaded when the network or the server returns.

When the equipment sits beyond Wi-Fi reach or is spread across a large site. The MacSync LX1 reads the same Modbus and analog signals and reports through a LoRaWAN gateway kilometres away.
