Pilot kit

Start with a pilot kit, scale with the same hardware

Prove the use case on your own site before you roll out: one gateway, the sensors or controllers for the job, the Maya app to commission them, and a Macnman engineer to bring the data into your network server or MQTT broker.

What a kit includes

Production hardware, not a demo board

A gateway for the site

Setu X1 indoors or MacLink Gen-2 outdoors. Wi-Fi products join the network you already have and need no gateway.

The sensors or controllers for the job

Temperature and humidity, CO₂, level, soil, parking, people counting, RS485 and analog converters, relay controllers: the same production hardware you would roll out.

The Maya app

Commission every device over BLE from a phone: intervals, thresholds, bands and network keys, without a laptop on site.

Your network server, your data

Run the pilot on ChirpStack, The Things Stack, LORIOT, Orbiwise, a private LNS or an MQTT broker. Decoders are published, and an engineer helps with the integration.

Request a pilot kit

What do you want to prove?

Pick the main product and tell us the site. A product engineer replies within one working day with a proposed kit and lead time.

How it works

Four steps from request to roll-out

  1. Step 1

Tell us what you want to prove

The application, the site, the number of points to monitor and the network server you use, if any.

  2. Step 2

    We propose the kit

Gateway, device variants, radio band for your region and the mounting or probe options, with lead time.

  3. Step 3

Run it on your own data

The devices report to your server from day one, so the pilot measures your site, not a demo.

  4. Step 4

    Scale with the same hardware

The pilot devices stay in service and the roll-out adds more of the same, with the same decoders and app.

Questions

Pilot kit questions

No. The Wi-Fi sensors and converters publish over the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz network already on site to your MQTT broker or HTTPS endpoint. A gateway is only part of a LoRaWAN pilot.

Any standard LoRaWAN network server: ChirpStack, The Things Stack, LORIOT, Orbiwise, Netmore or a private LNS. Device decoders are published in the Macnman documentation.

Yes. A pilot kit is made of production devices, so they stay in service and the roll-out simply adds more of the same hardware.

Enough to cover one representative area: typically one gateway and a handful of sensors or controllers. Tell us the site and we propose the count.
