MeterLink Gen1 Datasheet
Product Overview
MeterLink Gen1 is a compact, industrial-grade LoRaWAN® retrofit gas meter module designed to convert existing mechanical gas meters into smart, connected utility devices—without replacing installed meters.
The module accurately reads the mechanical gas totalizer and securely transmits consumption data over long‑range LoRaWAN® networks, enabling real‑time gas usage monitoring, automated billing, and operational visibility for utilities and city gas distribution companies.
MeterLink Gen1 supports prepaid gas metering, allowing remote credit recharge and balance enforcement. An integrated automatic shutoff valve ensures safety and revenue protection by immediately closing gas flow when prepaid credit is exhausted or when a remote shutoff command is issued.
Optimized for low‑power, long‑life field operation, MeterLink Gen1 enables large‑scale smart gas metering rollouts with minimal installation effort and reduced CAPEX. It is an ideal retrofit solution for utilities upgrading legacy gas infrastructure to scalable, secure, and future‑ready IoT‑based smart metering systems.
